[00:00:08] Speaker A: Hello and welcome to 404. Site not found for. Oh, it's Christmas. December 25th, 2024. I am Liam and she is not Liam.
[00:00:19] Speaker B: Nope. Not today.
[00:00:21] Speaker A: Not today.
[00:00:22] Speaker B: Not.
[00:00:22] Speaker A: Not ever, I hope. That would be weird.
[00:00:25] Speaker B: That would be really.
[00:00:25] Speaker A: You don't need two Liams.
[00:00:27] Speaker B: No. The world can't handle one.
[00:00:28] Speaker A: No. So it is a very special day. It is Christmas day, and we are spending it at our dining room table having coffee.
Yes. You're having coffee. I am drinking an infernal energy drink.
[00:00:41] Speaker B: Yes. I finished my coffee.
[00:00:43] Speaker A: Oh, did you?
[00:00:43] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:00:44] Speaker A: I haven't finished my drink yet. So we are just hanging out. I'm hiccuping.
[00:00:51] Speaker B: Yep. Our Christmas day plans consist of going to the cat cafe to see kitties. Baby kitties.
[00:00:58] Speaker A: Baby kitties.
[00:00:59] Speaker B: And then steak for dinner.
[00:01:02] Speaker A: Steak and some sort of potato probably. Mashed potatoes, I would think. Yeah, some. Some sort of potato I'm gonna make. But it's just gonna be a nice, low key day at home.
We did gifts already. We were originally gonna do, like a gift exchange on the podcast and then decided, you know what, we're just gonna open them early.
[00:01:22] Speaker B: Yeah. So we did that. And got a lot of cool stuff.
[00:01:29] Speaker A: We did. Are we. Are we gonna share what we got?
[00:01:32] Speaker B: Sure.
[00:01:32] Speaker A: Oh, okay.
[00:01:33] Speaker B: Go ahead.
[00:01:33] Speaker A: Okay, go ahead. Thanks.
[00:01:35] Speaker B: You always put me on the spot. It's your turn.
[00:01:37] Speaker A: So Alyssa got me a kitchen scale that talks, thus a talking kitchen scale.
She also got me a stand for my phone, watch and AirPods. So it's like a three in one stand. I got that one early. That was like an early Christmas gift.
But it's great because now I wear my watch all the time, which is even greater.
Let's see, I also got new AirPods or EarPods. Not AirPods. New EarPods. And, like, the connector for the 1/4th to USB C.
[00:02:14] Speaker B: 1 8. To USB C. Is it 1 8? Yeah.
[00:02:16] Speaker A: Was it 1 4? Sorry, no.
[00:02:17] Speaker B: 1 4th is like the larger.
[00:02:19] Speaker A: The big one. Yeah. The 3.5 mm to USBC. And then. Am I missing something?
[00:02:26] Speaker B: Your phone case.
[00:02:28] Speaker A: Oh, I thought I said the phone case. Did I not say the phone case?
[00:02:30] Speaker B: You said the phone charger.
[00:02:31] Speaker A: Oh. And then, like a really nice phone case. One of the zag cases.
[00:02:36] Speaker B: And the meatloaf pan.
[00:02:38] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. And. And the meatloaf pan so I could make her meatloaf.
[00:02:43] Speaker B: He's been saying three months he wanted a meatloaf pan.
[00:02:45] Speaker A: I know.
[00:02:46] Speaker B: So, you know, I was just trying to be a good listener.
[00:02:49] Speaker A: What?
[00:02:50] Speaker B: Exactly.
[00:02:51] Speaker A: So got me a meatloaf pan. Which was awesome. Thank you. And it really has been a while since I think we did like an update podcast.
So really quick. I went to Louisville for work earlier in December. That was really fun.
[00:03:07] Speaker B: That's right.
[00:03:08] Speaker A: A lot of cool people. Yeah. I don't think we've done it because we did the house tour, but I don't think we really did like a. Hey.
[00:03:14] Speaker B: Converse much. It was just. Yeah, you're walking around the house and I was like making comments about random stuff.
[00:03:20] Speaker A: Yeah, it was fun. Kind of what we do now, really.
So we'll probably. I would assume we'll do one more podcast at the end of the year.
[00:03:28] Speaker B: Hey, wait a minute. I gotta talk about my presence.
[00:03:30] Speaker A: Oh, oh. Oh, yeah. I thought you did it already. Okay.
[00:03:33] Speaker B: No, and I had you go first.
[00:03:35] Speaker A: Oh, right.
[00:03:36] Speaker B: Okay. We are not awake. It is showing. Ouch. No, I got this really cool backpack that I'd been eyeing for a while and it is a very nice electronics backpack. It fits my giant laptop.
[00:03:53] Speaker A: Your 17 inch behemoth monstrosity.
[00:03:55] Speaker B: Yes. And no. I did not purposely end up with that size of laptop. It was a little bit of a miscommunication between me and the state. Yeah, that's just how that happened. It's a nice laptop. It's just huge. But yeah, a backpack that finally fits it. And it has all kinds of other little compartments, nooks and crannies for chargers, headphones, a braille display.
[00:04:20] Speaker A: So if. If you had that. But it had babysitters and crooks with, you know, whether it be crooks and nannies, boy b sers and criminals.
See, I'm more awake than you think.
So you got your bag. And what was kind of cool about the bag is inside the bag there was a bunch of other stuff.
[00:04:41] Speaker B: Yes, the bag was full of stuff. So I got a Versa slate. And if anyone doesn't know what that is, is the paperless slate and stylus cool for jotting down a quick note?
[00:04:53] Speaker A: A loves those.
[00:04:54] Speaker B: Yeah, they're great teaching tools. Not that I have much of a need for that anymore, but.
[00:05:00] Speaker A: But they're still great.
[00:05:00] Speaker B: Writing down quick notes for myself for kind of getting my slate and stylus speed up if I want to. I used to be faster at than I am now, but like most things, if you don't use it, you kind of lose it. So.
And I, at the risk of sounding like certain organizations, I do think it could be a good skill to have at times. You're not always going to have a Perkins with you or even a braille display. Or you might be at a place with food and you don't want to get food on your display.
[00:05:34] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:05:35] Speaker B: But you want to write something down.
[00:05:37] Speaker A: So you get your versa slate. You also got something else with Braille.
[00:05:41] Speaker B: I sure did. I got these cool little clay stampers that are the Braille Alphabet. And so I'm figuring out some cool ways to incorporate those into clay projects.
So that was pretty awesome.
And a little snow globe. Squishmallow. It was.
[00:06:07] Speaker A: Yeah, like a squishmallow snow globe.
[00:06:09] Speaker B: Yeah, that was a fun little stocking stuffer.
[00:06:11] Speaker A: That was. That was my 5 below present. Even though I got it from Walmart. That's still my.
[00:06:18] Speaker B: We got some various candies. Nerd candy canes, peppermint bark and fudge.
[00:06:29] Speaker A: Covered Oreos, which we've both totally been eating.
[00:06:32] Speaker B: Absolutely. Yeah.
[00:06:33] Speaker A: I mean, that's just the way it is.
[00:06:35] Speaker B: That's what you do. Am I missing anything?
[00:06:37] Speaker A: So we got some presents from your family.
[00:06:41] Speaker B: Yes. You heard the wind chimes on the last podcast. Yes.
[00:06:44] Speaker A: That was a present from her mom along with some other really great, like, bedroom stuff. So, like cooling pillows. Oh, those pillows are amazing.
Cooling pillows. Cooling sheets.
[00:06:56] Speaker B: Like, like a cooling mattress topper.
[00:06:58] Speaker A: Oh, the mattress hopper is amazing.
[00:06:59] Speaker B: It's so soft.
A cool little winter centerpiece for the kitchen table. It's like a little glass. Well, maybe Plexiglas, I don't know, in metal. It's like a little house with a tea light in there that you just like. It's battery operated. You flip a switch on the bottom and it lights up through the little glass windows. So it's like a Christmas lantern or winter lantern. And it's got little branches and a bow and stuff on it.
[00:07:28] Speaker A: Yeah. Then we also.
Where we're getting. We haven't gotten it yet, but we're getting an entertainment center from my mom. So we're getting like the TV stand and the side cabinet. And to go with it, I bought myself a TV.
[00:07:43] Speaker B: Oh, the TV is nice.
[00:07:46] Speaker A: It talks. It's a 55 inch TV, so I can see it real good.
But it's, it's nice. It's just. It's nice to have something like a nice centerpiece for the living room. And then next weekend we are rearranging our living room actually.
[00:08:00] Speaker B: Yeah. Furniture.
[00:08:03] Speaker A: Make sort of an L shape with our couches and just redo it a little bit.
[00:08:08] Speaker B: Yeah. Move our nice armchairs into offices instead.
[00:08:12] Speaker A: Clean up some spaces.
[00:08:13] Speaker B: But yeah, we had so on our TV when we had some friends over, we had Mary Mozzarella and Ricky Ravioli over.
[00:08:21] Speaker A: That's right.
[00:08:22] Speaker B: For a pre Christmas dinner. That was when you made meatloaf and we had a winter Christmas scenic YouTube video.
We're still figuring that out, I think. Yeah.
[00:08:36] Speaker A: I like Louie Linguini myself.
[00:08:39] Speaker B: There we go.
[00:08:40] Speaker A: Yeah. Louie Ling Lui.
[00:08:43] Speaker B: Yeah. We had this cool backdrop of, like, a fireplace, and you could hear the crackles, and it was playing some Christmas music on the new big tv.
[00:08:52] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:08:53] Speaker B: Since we don't have a lot by way of decorations, we need a.
[00:08:57] Speaker A: Well, I guess you could be Amy Alfredo.
[00:09:02] Speaker B: Let's pick a different name, shall we?
[00:09:03] Speaker A: Okay.
What other.
I mean, you get called Allison, so we're doing Allison Alfredo or Ashley. Ashley Alfredo.
Actually. Alfredo Adrian.
[00:09:23] Speaker B: That can be a.
[00:09:24] Speaker A: Hey, Adrian.
[00:09:26] Speaker B: Well, that could be a unisex name. Depends on how it's spelled. Yeah, I've known chick's name Adrian.
[00:09:34] Speaker A: I don't. Oh, yeah. Well, I mean, you got Rocky's Adrian, but I don't actually know her because she's not real. She's a character in a movie.
Wow.
[00:09:46] Speaker B: I don't know. I guess.
I guess Ashley it is.
[00:09:51] Speaker A: Ashley Alfredo. Louie Linguini, Mary Mozzarella. Ricky Ravioli. I love it.
[00:09:58] Speaker B: Although it's kind of unfair because Mary Mozzarella's is not like it doesn't actually start with the first initial of her name. The rest of us kind of got our actual.
[00:10:09] Speaker A: No. Life is hard sometimes.
[00:10:12] Speaker B: She's not Catherine Canoli.
[00:10:14] Speaker A: Sometimes you can't have what you want but if you try sometimes you might just find you get what you need.
[00:10:22] Speaker B: Yeah. Shouldn't she be like.
[00:10:27] Speaker A: Katie Canoli?
Well, it all started with the Mozzarella thing.
[00:10:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:10:36] Speaker A: Because the last name is similar. Yeah. And I. I don't know, it just kind of grew from there.
We did something. So that's our Christmas. And. And, yeah, we're definitely looking forward to having some cool stuff in the new year.
[00:10:56] Speaker B: Yes. Some excitement.
[00:10:57] Speaker A: Look out, look out for podcasts about that.
You'll know when you know that's it. And if you know, you know. And if you don't, you know, you're gonna know.
But it was an awesome Christmas. I mean, we still got a day left of. Of good tidings and cats and food and hopefully no meowing in the food.
[00:11:19] Speaker B: No. And then a very, very short work week.
[00:11:23] Speaker A: Yeah. Two days. And then next week we got Monday and Tuesday and we have a break.
[00:11:28] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:29] Speaker A: A day. And Thursday, Friday.
[00:11:31] Speaker B: That's right.
[00:11:32] Speaker A: And then it'll be back to the grind. But that's all right because Work is. Work is fun sometimes. I mean, work is work. Right?
[00:11:40] Speaker B: Work puts food on the table.
[00:11:42] Speaker A: You know it does.
And lets us go see kitties.
[00:11:45] Speaker B: Yes. And all the other fun things we like to do, like pay the electric bill.
[00:11:50] Speaker A: So I hope that you have also had a good holiday. No matter what you celebrate, whether it is Hanukkah or Kwanzaa or Christmas or Festivus.
Festivus for the rest of us or.
[00:12:02] Speaker B: Some other holiday that we might not.
[00:12:04] Speaker A: Be aware of, we'd love to hear what you got for presents. Whether it was your Hanukkah presents or Christmas presents or. I don't know what they do for Kwanzaa, but I would assume that they have like Kwanzaa gifts.
What did you get? What was your favorite present? What was your least favorite present? That could be a good.
[00:12:22] Speaker B: What did you have to say thank you on to be polite to someone, but you were really just like, what am I ever going to do with that?
[00:12:29] Speaker A: I. I can say that I don't think I got anything this year that made me go, oh, okay.
[00:12:35] Speaker B: I know we had some concerns about whether or not the clay stampers would work. And I, I like squeed with delight when they did.
[00:12:42] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, I picked them out and I wasn't 100% sure, but I'm like, these look cool and I've never seen anything like that before, so why not? You know, sometimes, you know, things come up good and sometimes they don't.
[00:12:57] Speaker B: And that is a struggle sometimes with online shopping when you don't have sight to look at the image or physical access to a product. And some sites like Online Centric, don't even have pictures.
[00:13:10] Speaker A: These sound cool. Like, why not? They fit what you like to do. So let's try them out.
[00:13:19] Speaker B: It made braille dots last year.
[00:13:20] Speaker A: I got, I think I was gifted like an Audi book or something. And I still haven't read it.
[00:13:26] Speaker B: Oops.
[00:13:28] Speaker A: Yeah. And I was just like, thanks.
[00:13:31] Speaker B: Yeah. The ice cube trays I got last Christmas are no more.
[00:13:35] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:13:36] Speaker B: But also we got a fridge with an ice maker.
[00:13:39] Speaker A: They made giant ice cubes too. They were like, what sank the Titanic?
[00:13:42] Speaker B: They really were.
[00:13:45] Speaker A: I straight up, I straight up almost just said, what sank the Hindenburg? And so I guess I am not awake yet. Cuz it was twas not an ice cube or an iceberg that sank the Hinden cube. Wait.
[00:13:57] Speaker B: Oh no.
[00:13:58] Speaker A: Ah, yeah. This is not good. I need more caffeine or something.
I'm gonna fall asleep with cats on me.
[00:14:06] Speaker B: That's gonna be awesome.
[00:14:07] Speaker A: I'M gonna snore and the cats are just gonna be like, oh, he's sleeping.
But yeah, so that is our Christmas. And I, I would love, like, leave a comment. I would love to hear what you guys got. So for those that don't know, we are also, this podcast is on YouTube. If you're watching us on YouTube, that's awesome. If you're listening to us on your favorite podcast, Catcher of Choices, these are also on YouTube and it's a great way, by the way, to leave comments.
I would highly recommend going on to the page and leaving a comment. Also. It gets us views. And views are good. You know, we. I don't even know if we even talked about the marathon.
[00:14:44] Speaker B: Yeah, I think we did.
[00:14:45] Speaker A: Did, did we do.
[00:14:46] Speaker B: I think we did a podcast after a marathon.
[00:14:48] Speaker A: Okay. I think we did. I can't remember. It's been so long.
[00:14:50] Speaker B: And if for some reason you don't like YouTube or you're sick of YouTube ads or whatnot, there is Macedon.
[00:14:56] Speaker A: Well, you won't be getting ads on our podcast because we don't run. We don't monetize these.
[00:15:01] Speaker B: I thought YouTube did some ads by default, no matter what you click on.
[00:15:05] Speaker A: I don't think so.
I don't think these podcasts are monetized. So even if you play one, I don't think you're getting ads. Someone can feel free to confirm that. But I'm of the knowledge that, yeah, these are ad free and I've done.
[00:15:22] Speaker B: This very rare before I had YouTube Premium that I played any YouTube video and I don't know if they were just all monetized and I got unlucky, but I don't ever really remember seeing ones.
[00:15:33] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't ads, I don't think 404 monetizes, which is cool because it shouldn't. Like it's podcast.
We, It's a labor of love. We, you know, do this for you guys. So. But yeah, so this has been an awesome Christmas. I'm glad that you guys could join us and listen, I'm excited for 2025. Hopefully we'll do 2024 in review.
[00:15:57] Speaker B: Yeah, we might do a year wrap up this weekend.
[00:16:02] Speaker A: Yeah, I know we're doing it chatting with viewers, but like, also, I think it'd be kind of cool just come on the podcast and be like, this has been 2024. Here are the highs, here are the lows that we can talk about.
[00:16:12] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:16:13] Speaker A: Because some we can't, but most we can. So anyways, I do want to thank you guys. As always, thanks for tuning in. We will see you when we see you here on 404. Site not found.
